Oak

In Oak class we have children from Year 3 to Year 5. We follow the Primary National Curriculum which we then adapt to suit the needs of our children. We use a variety of teaching methodologies and approaches including sensory and more “traditional” teaching methods.

Children are given opportunities to work one-to-one with supporting adults, in pairs, small groups and whole class groups. We take full advantage of our fantastic library and outdoor spaces. Wherever possible we aim to provide plenty of opportunities for practical learning that engages children with our thematic curriculum.

We place a significant emphasis on helping our children to develop trusting relationships with both peers and supporting adults and understand that with a bed-rock of calm and co-operation, on which to lay a foundation for learning, we can achieve anything!
